Busch Sponsored Ironbridge Half-Marathon

For the 16th consecutive year Busch (UK) Ltd was the official sponsor of the 2012 Busch Ironbridge Half Marathon. The race took place on Sunday 1st April with the start and finish in Telford’s Town Park Arena.

Busch (UK) Ltd has donated money to cover all costs hereby ensuring all money raised will go direct to the nominated charity. The benefactors of this year’s marathon, organised by the Telford Harriers running club, was the Severn Hospice - Telford Appeal. Ian Graves, Managing Director at Busch (UK) Ltd, who personally competed in the event, said: “It’s fantastic to have an active interest in the local community as a local business. Busch has been supporting this event for so many years now, both on a financial and operational level. We’re delighted to be involved in an event which brings together the people of Shropshire for such a worthy cause. It was a very enjoyable day.”

And it really was a fantastic day for both participants and spectators. Sunshine and a warm temperature throughout the day encouraged hundreds of people to come and cheer on about 700 runners on their way through 13.1 miles.

Busch itself had a number of 4 employees taking place in the race this year, all of which achieved their personal best time.
