Shropshire’s got talent!

A high-flying sales employee from Telford has been short listed in a competition to find the best young processing and packaging machinery professionals across the UK.

Busch UK employee of the year 2009 winner, Sabine Fiehl (34) who has worked at the company for the past four years, impressed organisers of the PPMA Show with her excellent sales skills, customer service and ability to expand and develop her knowledge of the market.

The Ones to Watch awards is a new feature of this year’s PPMA Show which celebrates promising under 35 year olds who have made a real impression on the processing and packaging machinery industry. The five short listed candidates will fight it out at the PPMA Show taking place in Birmingham from 27-29 September.

Sabine was nominated for the award by Ian Graves, Managing Director of Busch UK. He said: “Sabine consistently gets excellent customer feedback for her competence, engineering knowledge and her application knowledge within the food industry.”

Archana Sharma, PPMA Show Marketing Manager, explains why the event decided to host the awards for the first time this year: “There is such a wealth of young talent in the packaging and processing machinery sector and really wanted to celebrate these individuals who go unnoticed at this year’s show.

“I wish Sabine the best of luck in the competition and congratulate her on her contribution to the industry.”

German native Sabine moved to the UK just six years ago equipped with a Masters Degree in Business Management and Marketing. She has quickly grasped the English language and says that key to her success has been perseverance, a continual positive attitude and the ability to be a little thick skinned at times.

Sabine began her career with the company as a marketing assistant but very quickly worked her way up through the ranks, progressing to a technical sales role through hard work, training and investing a lot of her own time in getting to know the company and its products.
